Tettenhall
is one of the few villages to boast two greens, an Upper and Lower.
They are separated by a belt of sandstone called 'The Rock'. The
Upper Green is the centre of Tettenhall village and it is here
that most of the shopping can be found. Lower Green, the possible
location of the 'Battle of Tettenhall', is the older of the two
greens and it is here that the Parish Church, St Michaels and
All Angels is located.

Upper
Green is approximately 10 acres of greenbelt land used for recreational
purposes. Within it is a large childrens paddling pool that is
very popular in the warm weather. Just across the road is the
Clock Tower, a present from Mr and Mrs Edward Swindley to commemorate
the coronation of King George V.

The
local Wolverhampton Cricket Club is adjoining the Upper Green,
whom can be seen practising/playing most weekends of the season,
and beyond that the South Staffordshire Golf Club, one of three
local golf courses all within 10 minutes drive of the village
centre.
Also
in the leisure vein, there are plenty of leisure centres in the
area to suit whatever level of athlete, from the occasional jogger
to the serious track athlete, or fanatical aerobic workout junkie.
For
the book lover the village has a local library within walking
distance of the centre and from there one can indulge in there
passion whilst socialising in one of the many local inns or eating
establishments.
For
the brief visit there are many Hotels, from the not so expensive
to the luxurious. These are all well placed for the village amenities
as well as journies farther afield.
Tettenhall
benefits from having several local primary and secondary schools,
both independant and local authority maintained.
